My husband and I met in Northern Maine over 30 years ago and married in our early twenties, embracing adventure from the start. We spent a significant part of our marriage in Upstate New York, living in the Hudson Valley, but on 9/11, we made the heartfelt decision to return to Maine.
Just a few months later, an exciting career opportunity led us back to the Hudson Valley, where we built our lives and raised our daughter. Yet, when COVID reshaped the world, we knew it was time to return to Maine. In 2021, we settled in Scarborough, where we’ve been ever since.
With a lifelong love of food and storytelling, I launched The New England Palate, a blog dedicated to showcasing Maine’s rich culinary landscape. Having lived in Vermont, Rhode Island, and Maine, I wanted the blog’s name to reflect the broader flavors of New England while keeping the focus on the incredible food, people, and traditions that make Maine unique.
The New England Palate is a collaboration between me and my editor, bringing thoughtful stories, restaurant highlights, and inspired recipes to life.
