The Coffee Pot sandwich shop in Bangor traces to the Rist family’s “Coffee Pot” eatery (c. 1930), which closed in 2009 after nearly 80 years. 

In 2010, former Coffee Pot employees Cheryl Whittaker and Kathie Potter reopened it as Coffee Pot Café on Broadway, reviving the signature sandwich.
